The community is situated next to Retama Park Raceway, San Antonio's Class A horse racing facility, featuring both quarter horses and thoroughbreds as well as simulcasts from other tracks. It is located in the city of Selma at the northeast edge of San Antonio near the intersection of IH 35 and Loop 1604 (Chas. Anderson Loop) intersection. It is just 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio; New Braunfels lies 15 minutes to the north along IH 35, and it is approximately 60 minutes to Austin.
Selma is ideally positioned along the booming Austin-San Antonio corridor. Just 5 minutes away is The Forum shopping center, with numerous retail, services, and dining opportunities.
The Reserve at Retama is convenient for horse enthusiasts, but would also make a comfortable low-maintenance primary residence or second home. It will include a community club house, which will be available to all the residents for community or personal private functions. It will have a recreation area which will incorporate a pool and lounge area. The landscaping will take advantage of native plants, including many different varieties of mature trees.
